Full description
Discover the nightly food markets where locals go when the sun goes down on a guided tour. Join a local guide as you explore the culinary the culture and atmosphere of Bali, with several tastings of local dishes included. Start your foodie adventure at a local food market, where your guide will take you in and out of the small alleyways highlighting some of the foods you will taste later on Eat Street.
Then, visit a warung (café) famous for its babi guling (rotisserie-cooked suckling pig). Your guide will order for you a shared dish for two people and explain all that appears on the plate. From there, drive to “Eat Street”, popular with locals in Bali and tucked just behind the major tourist area. Start at the top of the street, where your expert guide will escort you through the numerous small warungs and stalls, picking out things for you to eat as you go.

The tour was fantastic! “Song” was a great tour guide and I LOVED all the food choices! And by the description, I thought this was gonna be snack-sized tastings, uh no, come hungry! There is so much food!? So if you love food and want to taste a good variety of local dishes with a fun host, then this is your tour! Cant recommend Song enough, thank you Song!

c’était bien on a goûté des plats et fruits que nous n’aurons jamais mangé avant, il nous a bien expliqué les spécialités balinaises et il était sympathique nous avions l’estomac rempli, seul bémol est que le guide ne nous a pas ramener à notre point de rendez-vous du départ et nous étions à 40min à pied de notre hotel, il nous a pris un taxi que nous avons dû payer

Can I give more than 5 stars for the guide? She was great! Very knowledgeable, gave good background information on not just the food but the language, culture, religion and so much more. Great visit with a great guide in a very small group of different nationalities. The dishes presented and tasted were surprising but very interesting in taste. The guide introduced us to his Balinese gastronomic culture. We would have liked to taste the salmon skin chips and the small dried fish in bags! To be put on the program for the next visit! We recommend this visit as a must to deepen your knowledge of the Balinese way of life.

We had Lena as our guide and she was incredible! She told us exactly what we were doing and how long it would take us to get to each stop. She had a lot of insight into Balinese culture and we all had great conversation. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get some local tastes. I’m sure the itinerary is subject to change pretty frequently, but everywhere we went was delicious. I even tried some things I wouldn’t otherwise!
